Nextdoor's so-called "Leads" are like German Nozis, with WAY too much time on their hands.

Most of the time, they're not adhering to Nextdoor's rules themselves, yet will disable your account, maliciously, for no reason other than just being bullies.

As a business owner, I found it terrible that they'd act this way, and it will certainly cost you business / money.

The rules mean absolutely nothing, even when adhered by. There is no "corporate support", no corp phone number, and your email requests will fall on def ears.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Reactivate my account and MONITOR YOUR LEADS BEHAVIOR!.

Nextdoor Pros: Networking, Leads are obviously unregulated and ignorant.

Nextdoor Cons: Harassment and bullying, Harrassment by leads - bullying.

"And someone is paid to monitor it. " Leads are neighborhood volunteers.

Once a group gets control they censor and bully the others. If you agree with them all is good but if not, you get censored and suspended.

I totally agree, same problem in my neighborhood, leads who bully and close your account and the rules do not apply to them. Nextdoor is good foe one thing, finding a lost pet!

It seems the last people in our communities to be Leads work to acquire that position to abuse it.

Ok letโ€™s stop you right there. Before you try and go all internet warrior there is one small fact that you need to understand.

YOU DONT OWN THE WEBSITE!! They do!! While the internet is โ€œfreeโ€ someone is paying a provider to host their site. Someone is paid to maintain it.

And someone is paid to monitor it. If in their wisdom they have chosen to not have you as a user well that their given right. Not only as the people who pay for it but also as the owners representative. I feel you may be confused as to how it all works.

It would be no different then if you were to walk into any physical building and make a scene. You would be asked to leave then you would be told never to come back. I feel that the fact that you are on YOUR electronic devices makes you think you have some sort of โ€œsayโ€. Unfortunately this is not reality.

You claim bullying yet provide no screen shots of said bullying. You claim they have a bias towards you and that itโ€™s a personal attack when YOU arenโ€™t allowed in the site, yet you fail to acknowledge YOUR actions. Nothing happens in a complete vacuum. What was your part?

And why wouldnโ€™t you tell us in your post? We all know why. Because you are human and humans try and play the best victim possible. Like a dog who gets a thorn in their paw but acts like the leg is broken for more sympathy.

Itโ€™s all about appearances and in your mind they are bullying you. Yet you MUST have done something to draw their attention to yourself. No amount of sugar coating your posts is going to change the reality of life.

There is nothing forcing you to visit their site and equally there is nothing to stop them from banning you. You agreed to their TOS.

anon - your an *** - please pardon my harshness but im trying to be nice. if its a public website they have a responsibility to be fair to everyone.

just like the president can't block people that dont agree with him on twitter, nextdoor should not be able to boot someone for following their rules and/or defending themselves from another user attacking them verbally.

this would be like the homeless person in a restaurant yelling at a paying customer to give him some food and the manager kicking out the customer for raising his voice to make the guy leave. IF the site was PRIVATE, i could see having god like power to do anything you wanted but as it stands being a public entity they have a different level of standards to live up to...and their not doing a good job at it.

I never j see stand this sort of comment. What are you defending?

Private enterprises right to debase and bully the individual?

You wrote a long post trying to invalidate the value complaint. Shame on you.

You don't understand. Local volunteers for a clique of leads that boot out contrary opinions.

There is no Nextdoor oversight. Once a clique of leads gets the. majority the boot out the other leads.

If a neighbor posts a contrary opinion, it gets reported to the leads and the neighbor finds out he has been kicked out for 'violating community guideline' when he tries to access the app. Not even an email telling you why you were booted.
